For some of our products (Voice+Data SIMs / eSIMs, Voice Lite SIMs / eSIMs and Data-Only SIMs), you can choose to collect your order upon arrival to Japan.
During the checkout process, simply select the “Pick-Up (Free)” option and you will then be asked to choose a pick-up date and your preferred collection point.
When selecting a collection point, you’ll be able to view full details of each location (i.e. the store name, address, opening hours etc) and your order confirmation email will also display your chosen collection point / date.

Changing the Collection Point / Pick-Up Date:
If your travel plans change after placing your order and you would like to select a different collection point / pick-up date, simply follow the instructions found here: Changing your Pick-Up Point / Date
What to bring to the Collection Point:
- Your Mobal Order Number
- Your physical Passport (no photocopies / scans /digital versions will be accepted and the Passport must not be expired)
- The passport must show your First Name and your Last Name and the name shown on your passport must match up with the address provided on your order (middle name not needed)
Requirements for collecting a Voice+Data SIM/eSIM:
To comply with Japanese regulations –
- Your Mobal Order Number
- You must be over the age of 18
- Your Passport (with a first name and last name matching your order) and only the person pictured on the passport will be able to collect the order
Under the age of 18?
If your under the age of 18, it will not be possible to purchase / collect a voice capable SIM or eSIM.
However, you could consider a Data-Only SIM or Data-Only eSIM product instead as the same restrictions do not apply to these products.
What if the name doesn’t match?
Place a new order online using the correct name and then send an email to care@mobal.com (quoting the original order number) so that we can arrange for the order to be cancelled / refunded.
