Uploading Your I.D.

Please be advised that due to government restrictions on any voice capable products, we are required to collect specific forms of I.D. from any customers using a Mobal Voice+Data SIM Card or a Voice+Data eSIM service.

This requirement is due to Japanese law and so unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions. However, we can confirm that any information you provide will be stored securely.

Delivery Option:

If you have asked for your Voice+Data SIM Card / your eSIM Access Code to be delivered to a physical address, you will receive an email asking you to upload a copy of your I.D. via our secure portal.

This is a simple process and once we have received your I.D. upload, our order team will review the information you have provided and notify you if there are any issues.

Please note that the I.D. requirements will vary depending on the delivery destination (more information will be provided during the checkout process) and the delivery option is not available for all countries.

If you are unable to provide the required form of identification for our delivery option (or the required country is not listed) however, please be advised that we will not be able to ship your order and so you may wish to consider our collection option instead.

Collection Option:

Should you decide to collect your Voice+Data SIM Card / your eSIM access code from one of our pick-up points, you will only need to present your passport (displaying the same name that you provided for your order) and your order confirmation email to the collection point agent.

As your identity will be verified at this stage, you will not be asked to upload your I.D. online and so this would allow you to bypass the specific I.D. requirements for our delivery option.
